Party Night gears up for the bloodiest party of the year
Party Night is a true 80’s style throwback slasher film that centers on six friends who become prey for a sadistic killer when they ditch their high school’s after prom party for their celebration at a secluded house. You know where this is going, right?
Writer and producer Troy Escamilla stated that this is a slasher film for slasher fans, made by slasher fans. Whilst this will be the first feature film produced by Fight Meter Films, Party Night will encapsulate the passion for the genre.
“Until now, I have utilized my love and respect for the horror genre by creating and running the blog FrightMeter.com and being the founder and President of the Fright Meter Awards, an award I created solely to honor the best in horror annually.” He continued, “Fright Meter Awards has grown in respect and popularity over the last few years. There are currently over 50 members that make up the Fright Meter Award Committee, including bloggers, writers, directors, producers, actors and others involved in some manner with the horror genre. I also have a love and passion for writing and over the last several years have written several short stories and screenplays. Party Night is my favorite of those screenplays.”
Party Night now needs the help of Kickstarter’s around the globe to finish their project. The money raised will go to wardrobe, equipment, production insurance, props, special effects and more.
The team are asking for a total of $10,700, almost $5,000 has been pledged thus far. If you wish to view more about the project or would like to pledge your money you can visit their official Kickstarter page until March 12.
