‘Alan Wake’s Return’ Trademark Could Mean a Sequel
The last Alan Wake sequel which Remedy pitched and presented to publishers failed, thus spawning Alan Wake’s American Nightmare to feed the appetites of those hungry fans.
Remedy moved on from the series to create Quantum Break, due for release on PC and Xbox One, but could something else be on the horizon as Remedy has recently applied for a trademark for ‘Alan Wake’s Return‘.
“I would love to do that,” Remedy creative director Sam Lake said when the prototype footage emerged. “It feels that time has only refined the ideas of what the sequel would be, which is great. It’s almost, in some ways and on some level, that all of this extra time to think it about it has made it tastier and more exciting.”
It is worth noting that Xbox One edition of Quantum Break will be accompanied by a copy of Alan Wake. Could be generosity on Remedy’s part, but as an Alan Wake fan, I’d like to think of it as a path leading to this very much wanted sequel.
